Our Commitment of Services to Enrolled Children

Navajo Head Start is committed to providing a high quality learning center for our young infants, toddlers and preschool aged children. Nationally, the goal of Head Start is to prepare our children for kindergarten. We welcome the challenge and are implementing a strong early childhood curriculum and assessment program that focuses on school readiness skills and the five cognitive domains of learning. Another commitment is to ensure all Navajo Head Start centers are safe, efficient and student-centered. As parents, grandparents and caretakers, we invite you to take an active role in supporting your child through our various parent and family engagement activities. Please contact your local Head Start center to become a parent volunteer, and/or a member of the local parent policy council. We welcome you and your child to Navajo Head Start.
